Here is some information about me.
Education: I am Board Certified in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork. I graduated from BMSI Institute in 2005. I take continuing education classes every year.
Background: I grew up in northern Minnesota. I moved to the Kansas City area when I got married in 1992. Before graduating from massage therapy school I worked in a large doctor's office. While there I learned how stress can adversely affect a person's health. Stress debilitated me during this period of my life. I frequently got migraines, in fact more often than not. I tried a lot of different medications that helped a little, but not enough to warrant the side effects. I tried many things over the years. Finally, I found that massage really helped. Realizing this made me want to become a massage therapist so that I could help other people that were in pain or needed relief from stress before it caused serious health problems.
